The fiery competition was sparked with Malachi White’s (Sr.) first attempt in the long jump. His leap of 20’ 4” placed him 6th out of a field of 38 athletes. White book ended the meet with a school record 41’ 8” in the triple jump – good enough for 2nd place.

Co-captain Riley Wells (Sr.) won the 800m in 2:00.78. Wells ran an aggressive race with 200m splits of 28-29-30-33. Brent Brunner (Sr.) and Stephen Thomas (So.) ran open personal bests in the same race finishing in 2:04.73 (3rd place) and 2:07.72 (5 th place), respectively.  Brunner’s race efforts move him to RCSTF #7 all-time indoors.

The 4x400m relay of co-captain Noah Fulcomer (Sr.), Brunner, Andy Volk (Sr.) and Wells won the final event of the day from the “slow” heat. Their mark of 3:39.44 is the 8th fastest in program history. Volk’s 54.4 split was a personal best and his first race since his sophomore year.

In his first indoor race ever Davis Hood (So.) broke Frosh/Soph school record in the 60m Dash. The time of 7.48 also rates him #5 on the varsity list. Noah Ross (So.) ran a big personal best in the same race – dropping two tenths to 7.77.

Jaden Ferlita (Sr.) also had a big 2 foot personal best in the shot put. The lone thrower tossed 45’ 10” and placed 7th making him the sixth best RC shot putter indoors.

The 4x200m relay of Connor Cunningham (Sr.), co-captain Skyler Blanton (Sr.), Kody Page (Sr.) and Hood circled the track in 1:38.73 taking 5th place. Their combined splits of 25.3, 23.8, 25.2, and 24.3 rate them #5 within program history.
